Robert Aberdein

Sculptor

Robert Aberdein born in 1963, studied at Norwich school of Art.

From his art school days Rob has pursued his interest in the avian form, working in clay and casting into bronze, his making process has not changed.

His bird forms however have evolved from realistic depictions of individual species to sculpture which comes from imagination and observation distilled into a single language, the final shapes revealing essential inner forms.

He exhibits regularly and his work is held in collections both in the U.K and abroad. He currently lives and has a studio in Hackney London. His work is cast at the Paul Joyce Bronze Studio and Pangolin editions.

The work is currently on show at Gallery Pangolin in the 'Stirred for a bird' exhibition.
